My son is 6 and this was his first ever experience of climbing. Matt was SUCH a phenomenal instructor - as a teacher myself, I was hugely impressed by his approach. My son was so enthused and Matt really fostered his confidence - by the end of the session he was desperate to come again and to sign up for one of the clubs! There was so much activity packed into the session, and the safety instructions and practicalities were made really clear. The ability to play in the Castle afterwards was another really nice touch, and the cafe is great quality and fantastic value. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend White Spider to anyone interested in learning to climb.
White spider climbing is an excellent climbing experience. It is well designed to accommodate all ages of life with experienced turors and guides. If you have flair for climbing you should visit white spider. Even if you have phobia for height, you will be so trained to become a professional climber. There varying categories of memberships and payments to suit every pocket. The feel and ambient is a wow experience. The children section is equally fantastic. The staffs are well trained and good at their job. They take safety as priority
An excellent facility with friendly and engaging staff. I took my son to a family taster session and our instructor Matt was very good indeed. We had a great time and my son felt a real sense of achievement. We will definitely be back. There is a very wide range of walls and some great bouldering rooms.
My wife surprised me by booking a trial session (£29.50/pp) here and it was absolutely amazing..
Jan, our trainer for that day, is a lovely person who helped us to embrace rock climbing in the right way. He taught us from the basics and gradually increased the difficulty level.
He taught us tricks on how not to get tired, how to tie knots, how to Belay, etc.

We had an excellent time at White Spider. They were so friendly and welcoming and the instructor, Leo, was brilliant with the children who were both a bit nervous about climbing for the first time. The castle play area was brilliant too and the kids enjoyed playing in there after their lesson. Definitely will return.

New to Climbing...
We booked a family taster session and absolutely loved it!
The whole process was excellent, we turned up were greeted well. We were issued with all the gear and had Cecil "show us the ropes", he was excellent with the two children. We had a full hour and a half of excellent tuition and were able to try all the different types of climbing and tried most of the walls and ropes.
My children and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and wonderful facilities.
